Hillary has come out in favor of a withdrawal bill with teeth. You can find her whole statement through that link. Kos, not a particular fan of Clinton, has this to say:
Clinton's leadership will be critical to forcing Bush into accepting a supplemental bill with real teeth. We're off to a good start.
But the big question here is where Barack Holier-than-thou-with-Iraq Obama? Hillary et al. are using their positions to influence a speedy and safe withdrawal - but what about Mr. Obama? As Paul Simon would put it, only the sounds of silence.
Kos blasts Obama:
I have to say I'm shocked at the silence from the Obama campaign. The utter lack of leadership shown thus far on his part is appalling.
So where is he? Why isn't he fighting more to end the war like Hillary and Edwards and Dodd? Perhaps it's time to get off the cover of GQ and into the halls of the Senate? As someone smarter than me said, you can't run your campaign on an agenda of change, while earnestly avoiding advocating for any issue/idea that might piss somebody off.
